The University of Calicut is the largest University in Kerala. Established in the year 1968, it is the second University to be set up in Kerala.The Directorate of Admissions (DoA) was established by the University in the year 2014 with a view to stream line the entire admissions process in the University Teaching Departments and affiliated colleges of the University. The main aim of DoA is conducting centralized admissions to various UG, PG, M.Phil & Ph.D programmes offered by the University and its affiliated colleges in a systematic, transparent and student friendly manner following all reservation rules.

Calicut University UGCAP 2018 Admission Process for UG Courses will begin soon in the month of April/May. Admission to the Calicut University Under Graduate Programmes in Arts and Science colleges (except UGprogrammes to which admission is based on entrance examinations,B Voc programmes and BA Afsal-ul-Ulama) affiliated to the University of Calicut including 50 % of seats set apart for Merit Admission in the Self Financing colleges for the Academic Year 2015-2016 will be conducted through Centralized Admission Process.The Centralized Admission Process (CAP), offers facility for online submission of application to various colleges and programmes.

Candidates declared eligible for higher studies in the Kerala HSE examinations/Examinations equivalent there to can apply for admission to various Under Graduate Programmes of Calicut University through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Detailed admission rules will be published in the website before starting of the second stage of registration.
Candidates seeking admission under any category (General/SEBC/BPL/SC/ST/Community/Management/seats reserved for candidates from Union Territory of Lakshdweep/Tamil Linguistic Minority /Person with disabilities/Sports quota//Mentally Retarded/ Kashmiri Students etc) to the courses offered by the colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut for the under graduate programmes should compulsorily register through (CAP).
