Kerala BSc Nursing & Paramedical Admission 2014


LBS centre for science and technology invited applications on behalf of the Govt. of Kerala for admission to the BSc Nursing and Paramedical courses for the academic year 2014 – 2015. Candidates can submit online application from May 23rd to June 6th. A single application is enough for applying all courses. Prospectus can be obtained from LBS facilitation center or download the same from the link given below.

  • Since the special allotment is against the vacant seats reported by the Colleges, candidates who got allotment are requested to contact respective colleges for confirmation before proceeding further.
  • Those who get an allotment should remit the prescribed fee in bank before 28.08.2013 and take admission in the college on or before 29.08.2013.
  • Fee can be remitted on 28.08.2013 also. (For Bank, 28.08.13 is a working day)

  • Spot allotment to fill community quota seats in Christian Management Institutions and SC/ST vacant seats in all institutions will be conducted at LBS District Facilitation Centres at 10.a.m. on 13-08-2013.
  • Candidates should bring all original certificates including community certificate to attend the spot allotment.
  • Candidates who are included in the ranklist alone can attend the spot allotment.
  • Those who get an allotment should remit the prescribed fee in the venue itself and take admission in respective colleges on 14-08-2013

Second Allotment Details :

  • Rearrangement of options for third allotment – till 1.00 pm on 07.08.2013.
  • Those who get an allotment in Self Financing Nursing Colleges, need remit Rs.5,000/- only in the bank and remit the balance fee in the college, at the time of admission.
  • Those who get an allotment for B.Pharm course in second allotment should join the college on or before 07.08.2013.
  • Their higher options in govt. Colleges alone will be considered for further allotments. Date of joining in colleges for other courses will be announced later.

Courses :
BSc Nursing, BSc MLT, BSc Perfusion Technology, BSc MRT, BPT, BPharm, BSc Optometry, BASLP, BCVT and PharmD.

Application Fee :
Rs. 600 for general and Rs. 300 for SC/ST.
Candidates should remit the fees at any federal bank branch between May 22 & June 5 & obtain the Application Number & Chellan Number for submit the online application.

Educational Qualification :
BSc Nursing, BSc MLT, BSc Optometry:-
A pass in Plus 2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks for English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology together.

Bsc Perfusion Technology, BSc MRT, BCVT, BPT :-
A pass in plus 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as the main subjects and secured not less than 50% marks for the above 3 subjects together and 50% marks for Biology alone. For BPT candidates should have studied English as a subject in Plus 2.

BASLP :-
A pass in Plus 2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks for Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics/Electronics/Psychology together.

BPharm :
A pass in Plus 2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% for any of the subjects (Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science) and 50% marks together for Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science.

PharmD.
A pass in Plus 2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% for Biology or Mathematics and 50% marks together for Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics.
Those who passed Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm) with not less than 50% marks are also eligible for Pharm D admission.

5% mark relaxation is applicable for SEBC students having annual income less than 4.5 lakh. For SC/ST students a pass in the qualifying examination is enough.

Age :
Should completed 17 years on 31st December 2013.
For Service Quota candidates upper age limit of 46 years is applicable.

There will be separate rank list for each course and there will not be any entrance test for the admission.

How to Apply :
Candidates should have the Application Number, Chellan Number and Photo before proceeding with the online submission.

Application for admission to all the courses – B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (M.L.T), B.Sc. Perfusion Technology,B.Sc. M.R.T., B.Sc.(Optometry), B.P.T., B.C.V.T., B.Pharm., B.A.S.L.P, and Pharm.D can be registered only online through a single application. The provision for applying online is available at the websites www.lbcentre.org and www.lbskerala.com. Submission of more than one application by a candidate will lead to rejection of the candidature.

Application Fee:
The application fee will be as follows:
For General candidates : Rs. 600/-
For SC/ST candidates : Rs. 300/-
Application fee can be remitted at any one of the branches of the Scheduled Bank (to be notified) in Kerala.
[Candidates referred to in Clause 5.4.2 (h), who are children of Inter-Caste married couple of which one is SC/ST who will be eligible for educational and monetary benefits admissible to SC/ST as per Clause 2 (ii) of GO (MS) No.25/2005/SCSTDD dated 20.6.2005, should remit the fee meant for SC/ST and should attach an inter-caste marriage Certificate from the Revenue officials with the print out of the online application form.]

Remittance of Application Fee and Submission of Application Form

Candidates except Service candidates
Application fee can be remitted by all applicants except service candidates at any one of the notified branches of a Scheduled Bank in Kerala, using the chalan generated on-line during the process of submission of application form on-line as described below.

Service candidates
In the case of Service candidates, the application fee should be remitted in any Government Treasury under the head of Account “0210-03-105-99”. After remittance of application fee they should submit the application as prescribed below.

Service candidates seeking allotment under Open Quota
Service quota candidates desirous of being considered for allotment under open quota also can apply for the same after remitting the requisite fee in bank (in addition to the fee remitted in Government Treasury) by following the procedure applicable for open candidates as specified in clause 7.3.1 and file the college options in time.

Availability of Prospectus
Prospectus can be obtained from any one of the Facilitation Centres of LBS Centre for Science and Technology (see Annexure XI for list of facilitation centres) on production of the candidate copy of the chalan returned by the bank on remittance of application fee. Prospectus and all annexures can also be downloaded from www.lbscentre.org and www.lbskerala.com. However, it will not be available by post or from the Office of the Director of Medical Education or from any Government Medical Colleges or from any other office.

Submission of Application Form (Except for service candidates)

There will be four stages for the submission of Application form and all stages are mandatory. Candidates shall complete all the stages of submission as per the time schedule which will be notified through the website/media.

Stage 1-Entering candidate details online followed by remittance of application fee at the branch of the scheduled bank(which will be notified later) after taking printout of the chalan from the website www.lbscentre.org or www.lbskerala.com.

Stage 2- Confirmation of Personal Data Registration and forwarding of the printout of the application form with supporting documents.

Stage 3-Forwarding of downloaded academic data sheet duly signed along with attested copies of mark list(s) (see clause 7.8) after the declaration of the result of the qualifying examination. Those who have already passed the qualifying examination also need to send the academic data sheet only in this stage.

Stage 4-After publishing the provisional rank list the candidate has to register college/course options during the prescribed time. (See clause 9.2) After declaration of results of the qualifying examination.
